St George’s Church Building Repair Project
Since 1880 our church has been a welcoming place for all to worship. We have run a very successful Preschool since 1992 and hold weekly Worship Services, provide Weddings, Funerals & Baptisms – you may have attended one yourself.
Weekly in term time we run a busy Sunbeams Toddler group and host the 2nd Glascote Girl Guides meetings. We provide a free monthly Community Breakfast open to all. Our local schools attend special services we host for them each term.
Annually we celebrate Easter, Christmas, Memorial and Remembrance Sunday Services. We also provide an annual Strawberry Tea & Skittles Night open to everyone.
Unfortunately, with time and weathering our Church building is in need of major repairs. We need to undertake significant works to repair our Church tower and our roof.
The cost is £69,300 (plus VAT which we can claim back).
We are 70% there but still need another £21,810. We continue to pray to our generous God and are applying for more grants.

As a church we don’t usually ask the public for donations but, on this occasion due to urgency and local interest, we are making an exception. This isn’t just about fixing a roof; it’s about preserving a piece of our community’s history and ensuring that this beautiful space remains a safe haven for everyone.
