Our Sunday children’s group are known as Xtra. They meet on a Sunday during the 10.00 am morning service. The children start in the service and then, following a short talk, leave for their own groups.
We have 4 children’s groups meeting on a Sunday. They are:
Creche Under 3′s (meet in chancel) Xcite 3′s to 7′s (meet in hall) Xplore 7′s to 10′s (meet in hall) Xtreme 10′s to 16′s (meet in hall)
There is also a Youth Group for 10 to 15 year olds. It meets on a Friday evening in the church hall. A mixture of activities run during the evening including Table Tennis, Snooker, Playstations and dance mats and a tuck shop.

- St George’s Parent & Toddler groups meets on Tuesdays from 1.00 to 2.30 pm in the church hall.

St George’s Pre-school runs 8 sessions a week including each week day morning between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm in the Church Hall and, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm. There is also the option of staying for lunchtime sessions following on directly from the morning sessions and arriving for breakfast club from 8.30am.
The pre-school has a distinctively Christian ethos and is registered to take 30 children at each session.
Children are admitted to the Pre-School from the age of 2 and can remain on the register until the age of 5. A waiting list is in operation, although there are some vacancies at the present time. Admissions are accepted depending on age and any special needs.
Prior to enrolment children and parents are invited to attend sessions to familiarise themselves with the staff and surroundings. After enrolment parents receive a welcome pack and once the child is attending, parents are welcome to stay with children until they are happy to leave them.
The pre-school aims to provide a safe and caring environment where children are encouraged to develop their full potential through play and learning.
